Reuben’s Retreat is a home-from-home for families bereaved of a child and for children with life limiting or threatening conditions and their parents and siblings. They walk side-by-side with individuals to whole families so they are not alone, providing support that is specific to their needs including therapeutic activities, counselling, drop-in and peer support groups, plus fun times, memory making and short breaks.

A freephone service for all those affected by the death of a child. The Child Death Helpline is staffed by volunteers, all of them bereaved parents. All of the volunteers are trained, supervised and supported by professional teams within Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust and the Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. Offers help for bereaved children of all ages who have been bereaved by any sudden cause, including COVID-19 (coronavirus). Sudden is an early intervention service providing emotional and practical support in the first ten weeks following an unexpected bereavement.
